Adrián Cordero Vega, born on June 15, 1984 in Santander, is a Spanish referee who has officiated in various categories of national football. After several seasons in Second B and Second Division, he made his debut in La Liga in the 2018-2019 season. However, in the 2021-2022 campaign, he once again descended to the Second Division, only to return to the top flight in the 2024-2025 season.
Regarding his style, Cordero Vega is known for his communicative nature on the field. He prefers to communicate with players and coaches, seeking to maintain control of the match without resorting excessively to sanctions. This closeness has earned him the respect of many in the football world.
His debut in La Liga was when he officiated the match between Athletic Club and CD Leganés at San Mamés. This match, which ended with a home victory, marked his debut in the top category and was a memorable moment for the Cantabrian referee.
Throughout his career, he has been recognized with awards such as the Guruceta Trophy in the Second Division in 2017, which validates his good work in Spanish refereeing.
