Anastasios "Tasos" Sidiropoulos, born on August 9, 1979 in Greece, is a 45-year-old Greek football referee. He has been an international FIFA referee since 2011 and has officiated matches in the UEFA Europa League since the 2013-2014 season.
Throughout his career, Sidiropoulos has refereed in the Greek Super League and in high-level European competitions. For example, on January 30, 2025, he was in charge of officiating the UEFA Europa League match between Olympique Lyon and Ludogorets Razgrad.
Furthermore, he has been recognized on multiple occasions as the Referee of the Year in Greece, winning this award in the 2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022, and 2023-2024 seasons.
A noteworthy incident in his career took place on October 14, 2022, during the UEFA Europa League match between Real Betis and AS Roma. Sidiropoulos was criticized for not sending off Betis' player Juan Miranda after a foul on Roma's Nicola Zalewski, sparking controversy and debate over his refereeing performance in that game.
