About Romain Lissorgue

Romain Lissorgue, born on June 23, 1991 in Pontoise, France, is a French football referee who has climbed positions in national and international refereeing. He began his career at 15 years old, officiating in the divisions of the Val d’Oise district and in the Paris Île-de-France league. An early milestone in his career was officiating the final of the Coupe Gambardella in 2014

After a season in the Championnat National, Lissorgue was promoted to Ligue 2 at 24 years old. Although he faced a brief relegation to the National league, his determination brought him back to Ligue 2, where he officiated for four years. In July 2021, he was promoted to Ligue 1, making his debut in the top tier on April 20, 2022 at the Bollaert-Delelis stadium in Lens. 

In addition to his work in national leagues, Lissorgue has been involved in international competitions. In 2024, he was selected by the COMEX as an international referee and debuted as a fourth official in a UEFA Youth League match between Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid on March 1, 2024

Throughout his career, Lissorgue has officiated numerous matches in various competitions. In the 2024/2025 season, he has refereed games in Ligue 1, Ligue 2, and the Coupe de France, as well as serving as a fourth official in matches in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Nations League.
