About Yael Falcón Pérez

Yael Cristian Falcón Pérez, born on December 15, 1988 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a soccer referee who has gained recognition nationally and internationally.

His debut in the Argentine First Division took place on February 3, 2019, in a match between Unión de Santa Fe and Newell’s Old Boys, which ended in a goalless draw.

In 2022, Falcón Pérez was appointed as an international referee by FIFA, allowing him to officiate matches in competitions such as the Copa Sudamericana, Copa Libertadores and the Under-20 World Cup

One of the most remarkable moments of his career occurred on July 22, 2017, during the final of the Primera C Reducido between San Miguel and Defensores Unidos de Zárate. After a clash of heads, player Isaías Olariaga was knocked unconscious and began to convulse. Thanks to his background as a physical education teacher and lifeguard, Falcón Pérez provided first aid, managing to stabilize the footballer before medical assistance arrived.

Regarding his refereeing style, he is known for being strict in the application of the rules, maintaining control of the game and ensuring a fair competition.
