About Nikola Dabanović

Nikola Dabanović, born on December 18, 1981 in Podgorica, Montenegro, is a 43-year-old Montenegrin football referee. He began his career in the Montenegrin First League in 2006 and has been a FIFA international referee since 2009. Currently, he is ranked in the first category of UEFA referees. 

Throughout his career, Dabanović has officiated matches in various European competitions, including the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Conference League. In October 2022, he made history by becoming the first Montenegrin referee to officiate a UEFA Champions League match, when he officiated the match between Bayern Munich and Viktoria Plzeň, which ended in a 5-0 victory for the German team. 

In addition to his refereeing career, Dabanović works as an account manager.
