About Manfredas Lukjančukas

Manfredas Lukjančukas, born on November 13, 1991 in Vilnius, Lithuania, is a Lithuanian football referee who has been a part of the FIFA referees panel since 2017. 

In the 2024/2025 season, Lukjančukas has officiated several prominent matches in European competitions. On December 11, 2024, he refereed the UEFA Champions League group stage match between Atletico Madrid and Slovan Bratislava, which ended with a 3-1 victory for the Spanish team. During this match, a controversial decision was made when he awarded a penalty in favor of Slovan Bratislava after a foul by Clement Lenglet on David Strelec. Former referee Iturralde Gonzalez commented that the contact was minimal and not enough to award a penalty. 

Lukjančukas is known for his refereeing style that aims to maintain control of the match, although some decisions have sparked debate among players and fans. His international career continues to rise, establishing himself as one of the most prominent Lithuanian referees in the European football scene.
