About Alper Akarsu

Iper Akarsu, born on October 9, 1995 in Yenimahalle, Ankara, is a Turkish football referee who has been gaining recognition in the national leagues. Residing in Ankara, Akarsu started his refereeing career in 2014 and has shown steady progression in the field of officiating. 

In the 2024/2025 season, Akarsu has officiated several matches in the Turkish Süper Lig. For instance, on October 6, 2024, he refereed the match between Adana Demirspor and Samsunspor, which ended in a 1-3 victory for the visiting team, during which he showed six yellow cards. On December 2, 2024, he was in charge of the match between Fenerbahçe and Gaziantep FK, which ended 3-1, issuing seven cautions in that match. 

Throughout his career, Akarsu has maintained an average of approximately 4.7 yellow cards per game, indicating a strict refereeing style focused on maintaining discipline on the field.
