About Miguel González Díaz

Miguel González Díaz, born on January 7, 1993 in Oviedo, Spain, is a Spanish football referee who has had a remarkable career in national refereeing. He began his trajectory at 20 years old, motivated by a friend who was already working as a referee, and since then he has progressively climbed the ranks in the various categories of Spanish football. 

At 24 years old, González Díaz was promoted to the Third Division, where he remained for two seasons. Subsequently, he officiated in the Second Division B and the Primera Federación, gaining experience for four years in these categories. His outstanding performance earned him promotion to the Second Division in June 2023, at the age of 30. This achievement was particularly significant as it concluded a season in which he refereed the promotion final between CD Eldense and Real Madrid Castilla, a match that ended in a 3-3 draw after extra time.
