Stadium Information

The Alfredo Terrera Stadium, opened on October 21, 1946, is the home of Club Atlético Central Córdoba in Santiago del Estero, Argentina. With a capacity of approximately 14,000 spectators, this stadium has witnessed the football passion of the region for decades. 

Located at the intersection of Granadero Saavedra and San Martín streets, the stadium has undergone various renovations throughout its history. One of the most significant ones occurred in 2019, after the team's promotion to the First Division, when improvements were made to meet the standards of AFA and Conmebol. These renovations included the installation of a new lighting system and the modernization of facilities for press and players. 

According to accounts from former club directors, during the leveling works of the land for the stadium construction, numerous bone remains were found. This led to the belief that the stadium was built on an ancient cemetery, adding a mystical hue to its history. 

The Alfredo Terrera Stadium is not only a sports symbol, but also a cultural meeting point for the community of Santiago del Estero. Over the years, it has hosted countless matches and events that have shaped its identity and that of its supporters, establishing itself as a fundamental pillar in the social and sporting life of the region.
