Stadium Information

The De Grolsch Veste, located in Enschede, Netherlands, is the stadium of FC Twente and one of the most characteristic venues of Dutch football. Inaugurated in 1998 as Arke Stadion, in 2008 it adopted its current name after a sponsorship agreement with the Grolsch brewery. Currently, its capacity is 30,205 spectators, making it one of the largest stadiums in the Netherlands outside of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Eindhoven.

The stadium stands out for its modern design and passionate atmosphere, especially when Twente plays at home. In 2011, it suffered a tragedy when a part of the roof collapsed during expansion works, causing the death of two workers. However, the stadium was restored and strengthened, maintaining its essence and improving its safety.

It has hosted several international matches, including games of the Dutch national team and European competitions. In addition to football, De Grolsch Veste hosts concerts and other events, establishing itself as a key point in the cultural and sports life of Enschede.
