The Estádio do Dragão, inaugurated on November 16, 2003, is the home of Futebol Clube do Porto and one of the most iconic stadiums in Portugal. Designed by architect Manuel Salgado, it replaced the old Estadio das Antas, offering a capacity for 50,033 spectators.
This stadium has been the scene of highly relevant sports events. During Euro 2004, it hosted five matches, including the inaugural one between Portugal and Greece. Additionally, it was the venue for the final of the UEFA Nations League in 2019 and for the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2021.
The name “Estádio do Dragão” refers to the dragon present in FC Porto's crest, symbolizing strength and power. The stadium has also been used for concerts by international artists, establishing itself as a multifunctional space in the city of Porto.
A notable curiosity is that, in September 2024, the FC Porto women's team made its debut in this stadium in front of over 30,000 spectators, setting an attendance record in Portuguese women's football.
