The Stadion Maksimir, located in Zagreb, Croatia, is the home of GNK Dinamo Zagreb and has been the main venue for the Croatian national team since 1990. Inaugurated on May 5, 1912, the stadium owes its name to the Maksimir district where it is located. Currently, it has a capacity of 25,912 spectators, although its maximum possible capacity is 35,423.

Throughout its history, Stadion Maksimir has undergone numerous renovations and expansions. In 1998, the north stand was completely rebuilt, adding 10,965 seats and a building with 15,000 square meters of office space. In 2011, new seats were installed in all stands and various facilities were improved. However, the stadium suffered significant damage during the earthquake that hit Zagreb on March 22, 2020, leading to the closure of the east stand to the public since then.

Stadion Maksimir has witnessed numerous high-level sports events, including matches from the 1976 European Championship and the 1987 Universiade. In addition, Dinamo Zagreb has played important European matches in this venue, establishing it as a reference point in Croatian football.
