Vicarage Road is the stadium of Watford FC football club, located in Watford, England. Opened on August 30, 1922, it has been the home of the "Hornets" ever since. The stadium currently has a capacity of 22,220 spectators and is known for its welcoming and intimate atmosphere.

Over the years, Vicarage Road has undergone several significant renovations. In the 1990s, the Rookery and Vicarage Road Stand were built, partly financed by player sales. In 2014, the Sir Elton John Stand was inaugurated, named in honor of the famous musician and former club chairman, who has held concerts at the stadium to raise funds.

The stadium has not only hosted football matches. Between 1997 and 2013, it shared its facilities with Saracens FC rugby team. Additionally, it has hosted international matches of the England under-21 team and prominent concerts. A curiosity is that in 1982, Vicarage Road had its own train station, used exclusively on match days, although it ceased operations in 1996.

Among the most memorable events at Vicarage Road is the match against Manchester United in 1969, which recorded a record attendance of 34,099 spectators. The stadium has also witnessed the historic rivalry between Watford and Luton Town, known as the "M1 Derby" due to the geographical proximity of both clubs.
