The Stade de l’Abbé-Deschamps, located in Auxerre, France, is the home of the football club AJ Auxerre since its inauguration on October 13, 1918. Originally called Stade de la Route de Vaux, it was renamed in 1949 in honor of Abbot Ernest-Théodore Deschamps, founder of the club in 1905.

With a capacity for 18,541 spectators, the stadium has undergone several renovations, notably in 1994, when the Vaux and Leclerc stands behind the goals were modernized.

Throughout its history, the Stade de l’Abbé-Deschamps has been the venue for significant events, including international matches of the French national team, such as the game against Azerbaijan in 1995, where France achieved a 10-0 victory.

Unlike many stadiums in France that are owned by local authorities, the Stade de l’Abbé-Deschamps is owned by AJ Auxerre, giving it a uniqueness in the French football landscape.
