The Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium stands as a modern football stronghold in the district of Başakşehir, in the northwest of Istanbul. Inaugurated on July 26, 2014, this stadium was designed to provide İstanbul Başakşehir F.K. with its own venue, after years of moving from various venues. With a capacity for 17,156 spectators, its compact and functional design meets the needs of a rising club that has established itself in the elite of Turkish football.

The stadium is named after Fatih Terim, one of the most emblematic figures of Turkish football, in recognition of his legacy as a player and coach. The construction of the venue, completed in 16 months, involved an investment of 178 million Turkish liras and was carried out by the company Kalyon İnşaat, with design by the Arima Mimarlık studio. Its structure stands out for the absence of an athletics track, bringing the stands closer to the field, and for the installation of independent lighting towers, instead of lights integrated into the roof.

Beyond its regular use by İstanbul Başakşehir F.K., the stadium has hosted matches of the Turkish national team and served as the temporary home of Qarabağ FK during the group stage of the 2020-21 UEFA Europa League, due to the conflict in the Karabakh region. In addition, the venue has complementary facilities such as three training fields, a health center for athletes, and press areas equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

A distinctive feature of Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium is its commitment to sustainability. It is the first stadium in Turkey to obtain LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council, thanks to its energy efficiency and environmentally friendly design. This ecological approach, combined with its modern and functional architecture, positions the stadium as a benchmark in the country's sports infrastructure.
