However, with the team's promotion to the Primeira Liga in the 2013-2014 season, expansions were made that increased its capacity to 5,600 people

The stadium has a natural grass surface and dimensions of 105 x 68 meters, meeting the standards required for high-level competitions. In addition, it has modern facilities including a partially covered main stand, VIP boxes and areas dedicated to the press, ensuring comfort for both fans and sports professionals.

A notable feature of the Estádio Municipal de Arouca is its picturesque setting, located in the Arda River valley, providing attendees with panoramic views of the region. This privileged location not only enhances the spectators' experience but also highlights the stadium's integration with Arouca's natural landscape.

Throughout its history, the stadium has witnessed significant moments, such as FC Arouca's first promotion to the top category of Portuguese football and its participation in European competitions. These milestones have established the Estádio Municipal de Arouca as a symbol of the club's growth and ambition in the national football scene.
