The Municipal Stadium of El Alto, also known as Villa Ingenio Stadium, is a sports facility located in the city of El Alto, Bolivia. Located at an altitude of 4,150 meters above sea level, it is recognized as one of the highest stadiums in the world. Inaugurated on July 16, 2017, its construction required an investment of approximately 8 million dollars and was designed to provide a modern space for sports events in the region.

With a capacity for 22,000 spectators, the stadium has become the main venue for the Always Ready club, a team that competes in the Professional Division of Bolivian football. In addition, it has been used by the Bolivian national team to play official matches, taking advantage of the geographical advantage offered by its high altitude.

Since its opening, the Municipal Stadium of El Alto has been the scene of memorable matches. One of the most outstanding was Bolivia's 4-0 victory over Venezuela in the World Cup qualifiers, played in September 2024. This result highlighted the strength of the Bolivian team when playing under extreme altitude conditions.

In addition to its sports function, the stadium has been controversial due to its altitude. Some sectors have questioned the fairness of playing matches at over 4,000 meters, arguing possible adverse effects on the health of visiting players. However, Bolivian authorities defend its use, emphasizing the importance of respecting the country's geographical peculiarities.
