The Estadio Nuevo Arcángel, inaugurated on November 7, 1993, is the home of Córdoba Club de Fútbol, located in Córdoba, Andalusia. Originally, it had a capacity for 15,425 spectators and had an athletics track that separated the stands from the playing field. From 2004, a remodeling began to transform it into a football-exclusive stadium, eliminating the track and bringing the stands closer to the field. Currently, the stadium has a capacity of 20,989 spectators.
The stadium has witnessed outstanding moments, such as the friendly match between the Spanish national team and Japan on April 25, 2001, which ended with a 1-0 victory for Spain. In addition, on January 24, 2015, the highest attendance was recorded in a match against Real Madrid, with 21,495 spectators.
The Estadio Nuevo Arcángel is not only a symbol of Córdoba football, but also an architectural reference in constant evolution, adapting to the needs of the club and its fans.
