Stadium Information

The Stadion Wankdorf, located in Bern, Switzerland, is home to BSC Young Boys and stands as the second largest football stadium in the country, with a capacity for 31,783 spectators. Inaugurated in 1925, the original stadium witnessed historic events, including the final of the 1954 FIFA World Cup. In 2001, the old stadium was demolished and, in its place, the new Stadion Wankdorf was built, opening its doors in 2005. 

In addition to being the regular venue for BSC Young Boys, the Stadion Wankdorf has hosted matches of great international relevance. During the 2008 UEFA European Championship, it was one of the host stadiums, demonstrating its importance in the European football scene. 

The stadium not only stands out for its sporting function, but also for its versatility as a conference center. It offers various facilities, from boxes for 12 people to the impressive Champions’ Lounge, with a capacity for up to 1,150 attendees, adapting to a wide range of events and meetings. 

The Stadion Wankdorf will be one of the venues for the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025, reaffirming its relevance in European football.
