The Estádio José Gomes, also known as Estádio da Reboleira, is a football venue located in the city of Amadora, in the Lisbon metropolitan area, Portugal. Inaugurated in 1957, the stadium was designed by the architect José Gomes, in whose honor it is named. Since its opening, it has been the main venue of Estrela da Amadora, a club founded in 1932, which has undergone various transformations throughout its history.
With a capacity for 9,288 spectators and dimensions of 105 x 68 meters, the stadium has witnessed significant moments in Portuguese football. One of the most notable milestones was Estrela da Amadora's victory in the Taça de Portugal in 1990, by defeating Farense 2-0, which allowed them to participate in European competitions for the first time. Moreover, the stadium hosted events of the Lusofonia Games in 2009, highlighting its importance in the national sports scene.
Following the dissolution of the original club in 2011 due to financial problems, the stadium remained closed for several years. In 2022, the Club Football Estrela da Amadora, the successor to the original club, acquired the stadium for approximately 2.25 million euros. Since then, numerous renovations have been carried out to modernize the facilities and adapt them to the demands of contemporary professional football.
