The Metropolitano de Techo Stadium is a sports venue located in Bogotá, Colombia, which has established itself as a key stage for soccer in the capital. Inaugurated in 1954 as the Techo Hippodrome, it was transformed into a soccer stadium in 1995, adapting to the city's sports needs. Currently, it is the home of teams like La Equidad, Bogotá F.C., Tigres F.C., and Fortaleza C.E.I.F., hosting matches of both the Primera A Category and the Primera B of Colombian soccer.
Located in the southwest of Bogotá, in the Kennedy locality, the stadium stands on the grounds where the hippodrome previously operated. Its proximity to emblematic places such as the amusement park Mundo Aventura and the shopping center Plaza de las Américas makes it a reference point in the city. Access is facilitated by important roads such as the Avenida Primero de Mayo, the Avenida Boyacá, and the Avenida de las Américas, as well as by having the Américas - Avenida Boyacá station of the TransMilenio transportation system.
Throughout the years, the stadium has undergone various renovations to improve its infrastructure. Between 2008 and 2009, significant works were carried out, including the installation of a modern lighting system and the expansion of its capacity to 12,000 spectators, with the construction of bleachers in the eastern, northern, and southern sectors. However, currently, the capacity remains at 10,000 people, all located in individual seats.
