The Estadio José María Minella, located in the city of Mar del Plata, Argentina, is one of the most emblematic sports venues in the country. It was inaugurated on May 21, 1978, built specifically to be one of the venues for the 1978 FIFA World Cup. Its name pays tribute to José María Minella, a prominent Argentine footballer and coach native to the region. The stadium was a project promoted during the military dictatorship and is part of the city's World Cup sports complex.

This colossus has an approximate capacity of 35,000 spectators and stands out for its imposing structure, with covered stands and a privileged panoramic view from almost any sector. Over the years, it has hosted international events, such as the 1995 Copa América, and has been home to various local teams, with Aldosivi being the one that has used it as home the longest, especially during its stages in the Primera División.

In addition to football, the Minella has witnessed musical shows, rugby matches, and large-scale cultural events. Its turf has welcomed historic clubs from the country and international teams, establishing itself as a reference point for national sports outside the traditional Buenos Aires–Rosario axis.
