The Víctor Agustín Ugarte Stadium is an emblematic sports venue located in the city of Potosí, Bolivia. Inaugurated in 1992, this stadium has witnessed countless football matches and relevant events in the region. Situated at an altitude of approximately 3,885 meters above sea level, it stands as one of the highest stadiums in the world, posing an additional challenge for visiting teams due to the high-altitude conditions.
Originally known as the San Clemente Stadium, in the year 2000, it was renamed in honor of Mario Mercado Vaca Guzmán, a prominent Bolivian leader. Subsequently, in 2008, it adopted its current name in tribute to Víctor Agustín Ugarte, considered one of the greatest soccer players in Bolivia's history.
