The Estadio Norberto “Tito” Tomaghello is the home of Club Social y Deportivo Defensa y Justicia, located in the town of Gobernador Costa, Florencio Varela district, in Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina. Inaugurated on February 26, 1978, the stadium currently has an approximate capacity of 20,000 spectators.
Originally named Estadio General Don José de San Martín, in December 1990 it was renamed in honor of Norberto “Tito” Tomaghello, who was president of the club during its affiliation with the Argentine Football Association (AFA).
Over the years, the stadium has undergone various renovations to improve its facilities and increase its capacity. In 2014, the general stands were expanded, doubling its capacity from 3,500 to 7,000 spectators. Subsequently, in 2015, a new grandstand with 1,000 seats was inaugurated, and in 2017, the wooden stands were replaced by concrete structures for greater safety.
In January 2020, the stadium debuted a state-of-the-art LED lighting system, improving visibility in night games and meeting international standards for competitions such as the Copa Libertadores and the Copa Sudamericana.
