The Dr. Nicolás Leoz Stadium, currently known as Tigo La Huerta Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is the sports venue of Club Libertad, located in the Las Mercedes neighborhood of Asunción, Paraguay. Inaugurated in 2005, the stadium was named in honor of Nicolás Leoz, former president of the club and CONMEBOL. With an approximate capacity of 10,000 spectators, the stadium has hosted important matches at both national and international levels.
In March 2011, the stadium hosted its first official international match, in which Club Libertad defeated Universidad San Martín de Porres of Peru 5-1 in the Copa Libertadores. This match marked the start of the stadium's participation in continental competitions.
The dimensions of the field are 107 x 73 meters, and it has a surface of natural grass. The stadium has undergone renovations, including the installation of new stands and improvements in lighting, considered among the best in the country.
Club Libertad, founded in 1905, is one of the most successful teams in Paraguay, with multiple national titles and notable performances in international tournaments. The Tigo La Huerta Stadium is not only their home but also a symbol of their rich history and tradition in Paraguayan football.
