The Malvinas Argentinas Stadium is an iconic sports venue located in the city of Mendoza, Argentina. Situated in the heart of Parque General San Martín, at the foot of the imposing Andes mountain range, it is approximately 3 kilometers from the city center.

Its construction began in 1976 for the 1978 FIFA World Cup, and it was inaugurated on May 14, 1978. Originally named "Ciudad de Mendoza Stadium", it was renamed in 1982 as Malvinas Argentinas Stadium in honor of the Falklands War.

With an approximate capacity of 42,000 spectators, it is the largest stadium in the province of Mendoza and one of the most important in the country. Over the years, it has hosted numerous internationally relevant sporting events, including matches of the 2011 Copa America, the 2013 South American Under-20 Championship, and games of the Rugby Championship

In addition to its sporting relevance, the stadium has hosted cultural events and renowned concerts, establishing itself as a landmark meeting point for the Mendocino community and visitors from around the world. Its architectural design, by Uruguayan architect Rafael Viñoly, takes advantage of the area's natural topography, integrating harmoniously with the park's surroundings.
