The San Mamés Barria, inaugurated in 2013, is the stadium of Athletic Club de Bilbao and one of the most modern venues in Spain. Built next to the old San Mamés, which hosted the team since 1913, this new stadium maintains the spirit of its predecessor, known as "The Cathedral", but with a renewed structure adapted to contemporary football standards. Its current capacity is 53,331 spectators, with a design that ensures a vibrant atmosphere in every match.

The stadium has been internationally recognized for its innovative architecture, receiving the award for Best Sports Building in the World 2015 by the World Architecture Festival. Its façade is composed of illuminated panels that can change color, creating a unique visual spectacle. Additionally, it has a roof that protects fans without affecting the acoustics, enhancing the intimidating atmosphere characteristic of Athletic's matches.

San Mamés Barria has hosted prestigious events, including matches of Euro 2020 (although eventually Bilbao was replaced as an official host) and finals of the Copa del Rey. It has also hosted international matches of the Spanish national team and finals of European rugby tournaments.

More than a stadium, San Mamés represents the passion and attachment of the Bilbao fans. Its museum, eco-efficient design, and integration with the city make it a reference point in European football and a symbol of Athletic Club's identity.
