The Mediterranean Games Stadium is a multifunctional sports venue located in Almería, Spain. Inaugurated on July 31, 2004, it was built for the XV Mediterranean Games held in 2005. With an investment of approximately 21 million euros, the stadium has become the main headquarters of UD Almería since its opening, replacing the old Municipal Stadium Juan Rojas.
Originally, the stadium had a capacity for 15,000 spectators, later expanded to 21,350 seats after Almería's promotion to La Liga. However, in 2012, temporary stands were installed behind the goals to bring fans closer to the field, reducing capacity to 15,274 spectators. In August 2021, the Almería City Council granted the management of the stadium to UD Almería for a period of 25 years.
The stadium has been the scene of outstanding events, including matches of the Spanish national football team. On February 9, 2005, Spain defeated San Marino 5-0 in a qualifying match for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. In addition, in January 2021, it hosted the Spanish Women's Football Super Cup, where Atlético de Madrid was crowned champion.
Between 2022 and 2024, the stadium was known as Power Horse Stadium due to a sponsorship agreement with the Austrian energy drink company Power Horse. After the contract expired, the venue regained its original name. Currently, UD Almería is in the process of securing a new sponsor for the stadium name for the 2024-2025 season.
