La Rosaleda Stadium, opened on September 14, 1941, is the home of Málaga Club de Fútbol and is located in the city of Málaga, Spain. With a capacity for 30,044 spectators, it is the 18th largest stadium in Spain and the 4th in Andalusia.
Throughout its more than 80 years of history, La Rosaleda has been the scene of highly relevant football events. During the FIFA World Cup 1982, it hosted three group stage matches, welcoming the national teams of Scotland, New Zealand, and the former Soviet Union. It has also been the venue for eleven matches of the Spanish National Team and has witnessed European competitions such as the UEFA Cup and the UEFA Champions League.
The stadium has undergone several renovations to modernize its facilities and improve the fan experience. Between 2000 and 2006, a complete reconstruction was carried out, stand by stand, which included improving the quality of the pitch, adding artificial turf in adjacent areas, and updating dressing rooms, benches, and other sports facilities.
Currently, La Rosaleda continues to be a reference point for football in Málaga, hosting Málaga CF matches and other sports and cultural events. Its rich history and modern facilities make it an iconic stadium in the Spanish football scene.
