Deepdale

The Deepdale Stadium, located in Preston, Lancashire, England, is recognized as the oldest continuously used professional football stadium in the world. Since 1878, it has been the home of Preston North End Football Club, one of the founding members of the Football League in 1888. 

Throughout its history, Deepdale has undergone several significant renovations. Between 1995 and 2008, the stadium was completely rebuilt in four phases, resulting in a current capacity of 23,404 spectators. Each of the stands is named after iconic figures of the club, such as Sir Tom Finney and Bill Shankly. 

A notable feature is the statue of Sir Tom Finney located outside the stand bearing his name. Known as "The Splash", this sculpture captures an iconic moment of the legendary player during a match in 1956. 

In addition to hosting Preston North End matches, Deepdale was the original home of the National Football Museum from 2001 to 2010, before its relocation to Manchester. This museum housed an impressive collection of historical artifacts related to English football.
