Parc des Princes

El Parc des Princes es uno de los estadios más emblemáticos de Francia y del fútbol europeo. Ubicado en el distrito 16 de París, este estadio es la casa del Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) desde 1974. Su inauguración original se remonta a 1897, pero fue completamente renovado en 1972, con un diseño modernista del arquitecto Roger Taillibert, quien dotó al estadio de su distintiva estructura con curvas y techos ondulados. Actualmente, tiene una capacidad para 48,712 espectadores.

Una de las características más notables del Parc des Princes es su atmósfera íntima, gracias a que las gradas están muy cerca del terreno de juego, lo que crea un entorno vibrante en cada partido. Además, el estadio ha sido testigo de momentos históricos tanto a nivel de clubes como de selecciones. Fue una de las sedes clave en eventos como la Eurocopa de 1984, donde Francia ganó su primer gran título, y también albergó partidos del Mundial de 1998.

Además de ser un templo del fútbol, el Parc des Princes ha sido escenario de conciertos memorables de artistas de renombre mundial como Michael Jackson y U2. Su importancia no solo radica en el deporte, sino también en su influencia cultural y en su capacidad para adaptarse a eventos de diversa índole.

Entre las curiosidades, el Parc des Princes está muy cerca del Stade Jean-Bouin, otro recinto deportivo parisino, y su nombre hace referencia a los jardines y cotos de caza que se encontraban en esa zona durante el siglo XVIII. Hoy en día, sigue siendo un símbolo del deporte y la cultura en París, y un lugar de peregrinaje para los aficionados al fútbol.
