Jérémy Stinat, born on December 15, 1978 in Chartres, France, has traveled a unique path in the world of football. Before taking up the whistle, he was a professional footballer, playing as a defender for several French clubs, including ASOA Valence, Grenoble, Sedan, and Laval, accumulating notable experience in Ligue 2.
After retiring as a player, Stinat decided to stay connected to the sport from a different perspective, starting his career as a referee. His knowledge of the game from the inside gave him a unique understanding of the dynamics on the field. In 2018, he was promoted to the Ligue 1, the top category of French football, where he quickly established himself as a respected referee.
Throughout his refereeing career, he has officiated numerous matches in the elite of French football. For example, on January 4, 2025, he refereed the match between Olympique de Lyon and Montpellier, which ended with a 1-0 victory for Lyon.
