The Hawthorns, opened on September 3, 1900, is the home of West Bromwich Albion Football Club. This stadium, with a capacity of 26,688 spectators, stands out as the first venue of the Football League built in the 20th century. 

Located in West Bromwich, in the West Midlands region, The Hawthorns sits at an altitude of 168 meters above sea level, making it the highest stadium in all English professional leagues. 

Throughout its history, the stadium has witnessed memorable events, including matches of the English national team and FA Cup semifinals. Additionally, it has hosted non-football events such as cricket matches under artificial light and musical concerts. 

The Hawthorns was built in just four months, an impressive achievement for the time.  Furthermore, the stadium has its own train and tram station, named The Hawthorns, located approximately 500 meters from the venue, facilitating access for fans.
