The Tomás Adolfo Ducó Stadium, popularly known as “El Palacio”, is the home of Club Atlético Huracán, located in the Parque Patricios neighborhood, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Inaugurated on September 7, 1947, this iconic stadium owes its name to Tomás Adolfo Ducó, president of the club on several occasions and main promoter of its construction in the 1940s.
With a capacity for 48,314 spectators, the stadium stands out for its imposing architecture and design, which give it a unique aesthetic and have turned it into an icon of Argentine football. Its structure has remained practically unchanged since its inauguration, which has earned it the status of a protected heritage site in 2007.
One of the most notable characteristics of “El Palacio” is its location in the heart of Parque Patricios, which gives it a distinctive environment and a special atmosphere during matches. In addition to being the venue for Huracán matches, the stadium has hosted events of great relevance, including international matches and concerts by renowned artists.
During its construction, it was projected that the stadium would have a capacity for 116,000 spectators, which would have made it one of the largest in the world at that time. Although its capacity was eventually reduced, “El Palacio” remains a symbol of football passion and the rich history of Club Atlético Huracán.
