The Jorge Luis Hirschi Stadium, also known as UNO Stadium, is the home of Club Estudiantes de La Plata and is located at the intersection of Avenida 1 and 55th and 57th streets in the city of La Plata, Argentina. Originally inaugurated on December 25, 1907, this stadium is one of the oldest in the country and has witnessed numerous historic moments in Argentine football.
After its closure in 2005 due to new safety regulations, the stadium underwent a major renovation that culminated in its reopening on November 9, 2019. The renovation project, led by architect Enrique Lombardi, transformed the stadium into a modern facility with a capacity for 32,530 spectators. Among its outstanding features are the installation of state-of-the-art LED lighting, making it the first Argentine stadium with this technology, and the award of the EDGE environmental certification for its sustainable design.
The stadium has hosted various sporting and cultural events since its reopening. In addition to hosting Estudiantes de La Plata matches, it has been the venue for concerts by renowned artists such as Tini Stoessel, Wos, and Fito Páez. In 2024, the stadium also hosted a match of the Argentine national rugby team, marking a milestone in its history as a multifunctional venue.
