The Stadion An der Alten Försterei, located in the Köpenick district in Berlin, is the historic home of 1. FC Union Berlin since its inauguration on August 7, 1920. Its name comes from a former nearby forest ranger's house, which currently houses the club's offices. Over the years, the stadium has undergone multiple renovations, notably the one carried out between 2008 and 2009, where over 2,300 fans contributed 140,000 volunteer hours for its modernization.

With a current capacity of 22,012 spectators, the stadium is characterized by its unique atmosphere, mostly standing, with 18,395 standing places and 3,617 seats. This design favors a close and passionate experience, making it one of Germany's most emblematic venues.

Among the most notable traditions is the Weihnachtssingen, a Christmas event started in 2003, where thousands of fans gather to sing carols, creating a magical and community atmosphere.

Currently, the club has ambitious plans to expand the stadium, increasing its capacity to 40,500 spectators, including 32,500 standing places and 8,000 seats. During the works, scheduled to start in July 2025, the team will play temporarily at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
