The Estadio 15 de Abril is the home of Club Atlético Unión, located at Avenida Vicente López y Planes 3513, in the city of Santa Fe, Argentina. Inaugurated on April 28, 1929, its name commemorates the club's foundation date, April 15, 1907. This stadium was a pioneer in the region as the first one to have cement stands and artificial lighting.
With a capacity for 26,000 spectators, the stadium has witnessed numerous renovations throughout its history. In 1931, the first lighting towers were installed, allowing for night matches. In 1943, after an incident in a wooden stand, it was decided to replace them with cement structures to enhance safety. During the 1950s, an expansion was planned to accommodate 80,000 people, but the project was canceled due to changes in the provincial government.
The playing field measures 104.52 meters long by 70.35 meters wide. Besides hosting Unión's matches, the Estadio 15 de Abril has hosted prominent events, such as Copa Argentina matches and various musical and cultural events, becoming a landmark in the city.
