The El Sadar Stadium, located in Pamplona, is the emblematic home of Club Atlético Osasuna since its inauguration on September 2, 1967. With a current capacity of 23,576 spectators, it has witnessed the club's evolution and historic moments of Navarrese football. Its name comes from the nearby Sadar river, and between 2005 and 2011 it was known as Reyno de Navarra due to a sponsorship agreement with the Government of Navarra.
Between 2019 and 2021, El Sadar underwent a comprehensive transformation under the “Red Wall” project, designed by OFS Architects and chosen by a vote of the club's members. This renovation not only modernized its infrastructure but also strengthened its identity, with stands closer to the field and a 40° incline, creating an imposing atmosphere for rivals. The final cost of the project amounted to 23.3 million euros, and in 2022 it was recognized as the best stadium in the world by the specialized website StadiumDB.com.
The stadium has been the setting for memorable events, such as the international friendly match between Argentina and Estonia in 2022, where Lionel Messi scored five goals, achieving his first poker with the Argentine national team. Additionally, in 2019, it hosted a women's football match that set a record attendance in Navarra, with 10,250 spectators.
Currently, Osasuna is considering a new expansion of the stadium, following the approval of a legal modification that will allow an increase of up to 7,000 additional seats, in response to the high demand from members on the waiting list. This project reflects the club's commitment to its fans and its vision for the future.
