The Estadio Único Diego Armando Maradona, formerly known as Estadio Ciudad de La Plata, is a multifunctional sports venue located in the city of La Plata, Argentina. Inaugurated on June 7, 2003, it stands out for its modern design and capacity to accommodate 53,000 spectators. It is owned by the Province of Buenos Aires and has been the venue for highly relevant sporting events as well as outstanding international concerts.

This stadium has witnessed important competitions, including matches of the 2011 Copa América, where it hosted matches of the Argentine national team. It has also been the setting for finals of continental tournaments, such as the 2008 Copa Sudamericana and the 2009 Copa Libertadores. Local teams like Estudiantes de La Plata and Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata have used this stadium for their matches, especially during times of renewal of their own venues.

A notable feature of the stadium is its roof, which was completed in 2011, making it one of the most modern stadiums in Latin America. In addition to sports events, the stadium has been a reference point for live music, hosting world-renowned artists and establishing itself as a cultural epicenter in the region.

In December 2020, in honor of the legendary Argentine footballer, the stadium was renamed as Estadio Único Diego Armando Maradona. This gesture highlights the importance of the venue not only in the sports field, but also in Argentine popular culture.
