The Estadio Ciudad de Lanús – Néstor Díaz Pérez, popularly known as La Fortaleza, is the home of Club Atlético Lanús, located in the city of Lanús, Buenos Aires province, Argentina. Inaugurated on February 24, 1929, the stadium has undergone constant improvements and expansions since 1990, reaching a current capacity for over 45,319 spectators.
The stadium is named after Néstor Díaz Pérez, who was the club's president between 1985 and 1989, in recognition of his outstanding work at the institution.
A notable feature of La Fortaleza is that it is one of the few stadiums in Argentina with covered stands in almost all of its tiers, providing greater comfort to spectators.
Throughout its history, the stadium has been the venue for important sports events, including finals of continental tournaments such as the Copa Conmebol in 1996 and 1997, and the Copa Sudamericana in 2013.
