The Benito Villamarín Stadium, located in Seville, is the home of Real Betis Balompié since its opening in 1929. Originally known as Estadio de la Exposición, it has undergone several renovations and name changes throughout its history, adopting its current denomination in honor of president Benito Villamarín in 1961.
With a capacity for 60,721 spectators, it is one of the largest stadiums in Spain. Its structure stands out for a main grandstand with three levels on the west side, the only covered one, while the north and east stands also have three levels, providing an imposing view of the field.
The stadium has been the venue for significant events, including two matches of the FIFA World Cup 1982 and the final of the Copa del Rey 2019, where Valencia CF beat FC Barcelona 2-1. In addition, in December 2024, during a match against Rayo Vallecano, fans participated in a solidarity initiative by throwing stuffed animals onto the field for vulnerable children.
