The Municipal Stadium of Ipurúa, located in the city of Éibar, is the official home of Sociedad Deportiva Eibar. Inaugurated on September 14, 1947, its construction was carried out on land leveled with debris from buildings destroyed during the Civil War, when Éibar was declared a "Devastated Region".
With a current capacity of 8,164 spectators, Ipurúa is one of the most compact stadiums in Spanish professional football. Throughout its history, it has undergone multiple renovations, particularly between 2015 and 2020, which included the reconstruction of three of its four stands and the addition of new facilities such as a museum, official store, and VIP areas.
Situated in a mountainous area of the Basque Country, the stadium is characterized by its proximity to the playing field, creating an intense and immersive atmosphere for fans. This closeness has turned Ipurúa into a fortress for Eibar, recognized by players and coaches as a challenging venue for visiting teams.
In addition to hosting matches for the men's first team, Ipurúa is also the venue for the Eibar women's team, which has achieved significant victories, such as the one against Real Madrid in Valdebebas. This commitment to women's football reflects the club's dedication to equality and sporting development across all its categories.
