Stadium Information

The Estadi Municipal de Montilivi, opened on August 14, 1970, is the home of Girona FC and is located in the city of Girona, Catalonia. Built to replace the old Vista Alegre stadium, this stadium has witnessed the evolution and growth of the club over the decades. 

With a current capacity of 14,624 spectators, Montilivi has undergone several renovations to meet the demands of professional football. After Girona FC's historic promotion to LaLiga in 2017, expansions and improvements were made to the facilities to comply with the standards of the top category of Spanish football. 

The stadium is known for its close and welcoming atmosphere, where the fans create a vibrant atmosphere at every match. The main stand, located on the west side, is the most prominent and offers an excellent view of the playing field. Over the years, Montilivi has been the setting for memorable encounters, including international friendly matches and high-level competitions. 

In January 2025, the president of Girona FC, Delfí Geli, announced that the club will soon present a project for a new stadium or a comprehensive renovation of Montilivi, with the aim of adapting the facilities to the current and future needs of the team and its fans. This initiative reflects the club's commitment to the growth and continuous improvement of its infrastructure.
