Gianluca Manganiello

Gianluca Manganiello, born on November 28, 1981 in Pinerolo, Italy, is an Italian football referee who has officiated numerous matches in Serie A. 

Throughout his career, he has refereed a total of 268 matches, in which he has shown 870 yellow cards and 34 red cards, averaging 3.25 yellow cards per game. 

A notable anecdote occurred on December 15, 2019, when during the match between AC Milan and Sassuolo at San Siro, Manganiello consulted the VAR to disallow a goal by Theo Hernández, which generated controversy among fans. 

Manganiello is known for his strict and meticulous refereeing style, maintaining a firm control of the game and rigorously enforcing the rules. Although he has been involved in some controversial decisions, he has not been the center of significant controversies. To date, he has not officiated in finals of major relevance in international competitions.
