Estadio Alfonso López

El Estadio Américo Montanini, anteriormente conocido como Estadio Alfonso López, es el principal recinto deportivo de Bucaramanga, Colombia, y la sede oficial del Atlético Bucaramanga. Inaugurado el 12 de diciembre de 1941, fue construido inicialmente para albergar los V Juegos Nacionales y recibió su nombre original en honor al expresidente Alfonso López Pumarejo. En junio de 2024, el estadio fue renombrado para rendir homenaje a José Américo Montanini, ídolo histórico del club, tras una votación promovida por la Gobernación de Santander.

Con una capacidad actual de 25.000 espectadores, el estadio ha experimentado varias remodelaciones a lo largo de su historia. En 2006, se convirtió en el primer estadio colombiano en instalar césped sintético certificado por la FIFA. Sin embargo, en 2017, se reemplazó por grama natural Bermuda 419, y se realizaron mejoras en las tribunas, camerinos y zonas de prensa. Además, se eliminó la pista atlética y se instaló un moderno sistema de iluminación LED y un tablero electrónico. 

El estadio ha sido escenario de eventos deportivos de gran relevancia, como la Copa América Femenina 2022, el Torneo Preolímpico Sub-23 de 2020 y la Copa Libertadores 1998, donde el Atlético Bucaramanga tuvo su única participación internacional. También ha albergado partidos de la selección colombiana y diversos eventos culturales y conciertos. 

Actualmente, se están evaluando proyectos de ampliación y modernización para cumplir con los estándares de la CONMEBOL, especialmente tras la clasificación del Atlético Bucaramanga a la Copa Libertadores 2025. Estas mejoras incluyen la expansión de las tribunas y la actualización de las instalaciones para ofrecer una mejor experiencia a los aficionados.
