The Doosan Arena, formerly known as Stadion města Plzně, is a multi-purpose stadium located in Pilsen, Czech Republic. Inaugurated in 1955, it is situated in the Štruncovy Sady park, near the confluence of the Mže and Radbuza rivers. Currently, it is the home of the football club FC Viktoria Plzeň.
Originally, the stadium had a capacity for 35,000 spectators, with 7,600 seats. However, after several renovations, especially the one in 2011 to meet UEFA criteria, the capacity was reduced to 11,700 seats. These improvements included the modernization of facilities and the expansion of stands to provide a better experience for fans.
The Doosan Arena has witnessed numerous prominent sporting events, including matches of the national team of the Czech Republic. In addition, FC Viktoria Plzeň has played European competition matches in this stadium, solidifying its reputation in continental football.
The stadium is located a short distance from the famous Pilsner Urquell brewery, allowing visitors to combine a football experience with tasting traditional Czech beers.
