The Engineer Hilario Sánchez Stadium, inaugurated on September 9, 1951, is the home of San Martín Athletic Club in San Juan, Argentina. With a capacity for 26,500 spectators, it is the second largest stadium in the province, only surpassed by the Bicentennial Stadium.
The stadium is named after Hilario Sánchez Rodríguez (1925–1987), who was a goalkeeper and later president of the club between 1971 and 1983, being a prominent figure in the institution's history.
Over the years, the stadium has witnessed memorable moments, such as San Martín's historic 6-1 victory over Boca Juniors on April 13, 2013. Additionally, on January 26, 2010, it hosted a friendly match in which the Argentine national team, led by Diego Maradona, defeated Costa Rica 3-2.
The Engineer Hilario Sánchez Stadium is not only a symbol of San Juan football, but also a symbol of the passion and dedication of the local community towards their team.
